DEVELOPING A “JOB READY” ATTITUDE

As you prepare to enter the job market, there are so many thoughts, expectations, and results you have in mind. Of course, the ultimate goal is to “get a job”, but what does it take to really succeed? Many of use do not take the time to look at our approach of going out in the business community, with an attitude that other can see is “serious”, determined, and destined to find work.

At this very moment, write down five things that have your mind going in different directions, regarding looking for a job, and your expectations…? (IE: Scared, Uncertain, Confused, Optimistic, etc.)

Now, give your ideas of what is the best approach to have when entering an employer for the first time?  What is the appropriate statement you should say, when entering a business, seeking a job?   Give 3 examples:

It is important to realize that employers can see the determination of how serious you are in seeking gainful employment. Let your attitude shine and you will be surprised by the feedback of the employer, the potential of an “on the spot interview”, and the time cut in half, looking for a job.
